The moose hunt is undoubtedly one of the strengths of Pink Mountain Outfitters. Thanks to the geographical position of our territory - only 200 km (125 miles) from the Yukon border - very good trophy class moose occur here. Bulls with antlers up to 150+ cm (60 inches plus) are common. By North American standards, we do have a high rate of success.

Mid September is when the rut takes place. This is the time when our experienced guides can actually lure a bull moose in close by calling it. Successfully imitating a moose call is an experience no hunter will ever forget. |

Pink Mountain Outfitters provide different modes of transportation for the various hunts. Depending on the situation, we'll use ATV's, canoes, jetboat, jeep or truck. Consideration is always given to the safety, health and physical condition of our hunters. Accommodation consists of the main lodge and different spike camps, like log cabins or wall tents.

In contrast to the moose which are found through out our territory, the elk occurs in the north-western part. Elk hunting mainly takes place on water, usually the river, and is accessible only with the jetboat. If you wish to hunt only for Elk then we strongly recommend a date during the rutting season. |
